Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. What ExamDB is, and who runs it
ExamDB (examdb.org) is a free reference database of competitive examinations - their schedules, application windows, eligibility and results - assembled from publicly available sources. It is built and operated by Pranjal Bhatnagar, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”, “the operator”).
2. No affiliation with any examination authority
ExamDB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, or connected to any government body, examination authority, board, university, or educational institution.
Names such as UPSC, SSC, NTA, IBPS, RBI, SBI, and the various State Public Service Commissions are used only to identify whose examination is being described. Their use is descriptive and implies no relationship, sponsorship, or approval. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
ExamDB does not issue notifications, accept applications, conduct examinations, or declare results, and nothing here should be mistaken for an official communication from a body that does.
3. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using ExamDB, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Creating an account is optional and is not required to read anything here.
4. Accuracy - read this one
ExamDB gathers dates automatically from official portals and, where those are silent, from education news sources. Every entry carries a confidence indicator reflecting where it came from. We work continuously to keep it correct, but we make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for any purpose.
Examination schedules change without notice, are frequently published as scanned PDFs or press notices, and are sometimes contradicted by the same authority days later. A date shown here can be wrong, stale, or missing.
Before you act on any date - applying, paying a fee, booking travel, or planning your preparation - confirm it against the official notification published by the examining body. ExamDB is a reference and a starting point. It is not an authority, and it is not a substitute for one.
5. Provided “as is”, with no warranty
ExamDB is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. It may go offline for maintenance, or for reasons outside our control, without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any loss or damage - direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise - arising from your use of, or reliance on, ExamDB.
This expressly includes missed application deadlines, missed examinations, incorrect or outdated dates, absent notifications, examination fees paid or forfeited, travel or accommodation costs, lost opportunity, and any consequence of the service being unavailable.
ExamDB is offered free of charge, as a public good, by one person. Use it accordingly.
7. Where the data comes from
Data is collected from publicly accessible sources: official examination portals, and educational news publications where official sources have not yet published. Underlying notifications, documents, and examination content remain the property of the respective authorities and publishers. ExamDB claims no ownership over them and reproduces factual details - dates, names, eligibility criteria - rather than republishing documents wholesale.
If you represent an examination authority or publisher and object to how your material is represented here, email psbhatnagar.in@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
8. How you may use ExamDB
You may use ExamDB freely for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes - including looking things up on behalf of a student, a class, or a coaching batch. You may not:
- Systematically scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract the catalogue to build a competing or commercial product
- Access the service at a rate that degrades it for other users, or evade rate limits
- Attempt to reach administrative endpoints, other users' accounts, or restricted areas
- Present ExamDB data as official government information, or imply that ExamDB is an official source
- Use the service for anything unlawful
If you want the data for research or a non-commercial project, ask - that is a conversation, not a violation.
9. Accounts
An account is optional and exists only to let you save exams and organise them into lists. You are responsible for the security of the provider account you sign in with. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to abuse the service. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from your account page; deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your saved exams and lists with it.
There is no minimum age to read ExamDB, and everything on it is readable without an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission before creating one.
How your account data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
The ExamDB name, the site design, and the original code and editorial text are the property of the operator. Examination data displayed on the site is derived from public records and official notifications, which remain the property of the respective authorities.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to ExamDB shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
